Delizioso! Really nice and friendly and quiet place right in the heart of North Beach. With dozens of pizza places nearby you may miss this one but we stopped for a pie and it was delicious. Drinks were great and a reasonable price. I recommend give it a try.
MoreI would definitely recommend!!! The Italian food is delicious. You should definitely stop in and eat here!!! Staff is so pleasant and helpful with recommendations. Just a wonderful Italian restaurant!!!!
MoreThe service was top notch but my husbands ravioli was thick and tough. My gnocchi was delicious.
MoreAlways a favorite for my Italian family. The food is outstanding with good portion-sized meals and all the pasta sauces are freshly made right in the restaurant. The staff are excellent every time!
MoreWonderful food. Fresh made pasta. Delicious. Great service too!
Loved the pasta with seafood and the Tiramisu. Service was very accommodating. Will definitely come back again.
MoreThis place is run by a husband and wife duo, but they're just there to overwatch the crew. Owner Giovanni sign and serenade to diners seated outside the sidewalk area. The entrance is a pointed door nestle between Vallejo/Columbus st and usually a young lady hawker waiving passerby to check them out. Noise is average with mostly sounds from the kitchen and not so much the patrons. Bartender with salt & pepper hair is humourous cracking jokes and making your drink at the same time. Food is pretty much consistent each time I come either myself or with company. Only thing I didn't like is the open tray of parmesan cheese sitting there open to the elements. Other than that, I never have any problems. Value is on par with area competition, but people watching is what this place is also known for. I would grab a table outside by the pointed entrance. This way you can watch both side of the street instead of just one side.
MoreThe dinner was very good and the service excellent.
Absolutely amazing and incredibly delicious food.
Excellent food.... ravioli was def homemade. Bartender/waitor was absolutely terrific! I'd go here all the time if I lived around here
MoreI took warm sea salad. it's not worth its price. There was too much noise.
One of the best Italian restaurants in San Francisco. The owner chef is Giovanni who is from Sicily and most of the waiters are from Italy and Europe. The food is delicious. The sauces are really tasty. I don't live in San Francisco anymore but always have our family gatherings here when I go out to visit my brother.
MoreWonderful cozy restaurant. Food was outstanding, not your average choices, but refreshing to have a variety of entrees. Service was excellent.
MoreItalian, made by and served by Italians..delicious, fresh, flavorful and a wonderfully relaxing meal!
MoreVery nice Italian restaurant in Little Italy. Could tell pizza crust and pasta noodles were created fresh. Would recommend if looking for a spot around the corner for dinner
MoreA nice little restaurant. We ordered the lunch special that was penne all'amatriciana and angel hair with tomato and basil. It came with salad or minestrone. The food was pretty good, not the best Italian I've had. The flavors were rich but too exaggerated and killed the softness of other flavors. The portions were healthy and enough to fill you but not kill you haha. The service was incredible! The place was pretty empty and clean. The bathrooms were also very clean. Prices were around $18/person with the lunch special so they were average and reasonable for the area. Food 3.5/5Service 5/5Place 5/5Price 4.5/5
MoreSat at the bar for a few drinks. The atmosphere was wonderful, and the drinks were so yummy! Best part was the bartender, I wish I caught his name. He was generous, funny, and welcoming.
MoreGreat place, we had lunch specials that were reasonably priced and super good. Soup, salad, sandwich, and pasta were all perfect. Plan to return.
MoreVery nice location on Columbus so you can people watch to your heart's content. There are a few outdoor tables and the windows open fully so that the inside window facing tables have a outdoor feeling. The food was very good with a nice variety of selections. There is a pleasant family feel to the service rather than the tourist feel of some of the other North Beach Italian resaurants.
MoreTrattoria Pinocchio brings zest to the corner on Columbus and is a fun place to be after dusk. Everything is popping and people are out looking for a good time with friends.
MoreAmazing food, even better service. I highly recommend paying Trattoria a visit whenever you’re in the Bay Area
MoreDinner was excellent. I was recently in Tuscany and this was on par with almost anything I ate there. Friendly waitstaff.
MoreFetuccine Pollo was fabulous. Husband ordered Chicken Parm (very good!) We never got bread, but probably didn't need it because the excellent meal.
MoreThe location and customer service are great, however the food not that much. Price is high as well.
MoreIt's charming the staff is friendly it feels like your sitting in your grandma's kitchen the food is always very good you can dine outside anytime of year because they have those heaters. Its become mine & my daughter's go to.
MoreExcellent service! Drinks are great! Dessert is amazing. I like the fired calamari, and seafood pasta was very tasty.
MoreI came here a couple years ago with a friend and had a great experience. So when I was visiting SF again, I made sure to return and once again had a great time!
MoreGreat Italian food n staff
Service was wonderful.
Great place to eat! The food was delicious and the staff very friendly. I had the lasagna and it was so good. Definitely going back when I'm in SF again.
MoreThe red sauce is waaaaay too salty. If that's how it always is then I won't be back. I guess I could have told the waiter and got something different but we didn't have much time. Plus my wife's sauce was the same way but the gnocchi balanced it out some.
MoreThe food here is spectacular and the staff always goes above and beyond to make everyone feel welcome. Would definitely recommend!
MoreAmazing food and friendly staff. Pricey but worth it for a special night.
The pizza is very tasty, but it's too expensive.
Great pizza. I added some gorgonzola to mine. The waiter was very attentive. I'd definitely go back. The only complaint from my group was the lasagna was a little on the small side for the price, but was still very tasty.
MoreBasically everything about this restaurant is awesome. They make a lot of the pasta in house. The service and atmosphere is awesome. My favorite thing to do is take people from out of town to the outdoor seating and have dinner while keeping toasty under the heaters.
MoreTrue authentic Italian restaurant. Tasty but slightly pricey.
Outstanding authentic Italian food. Don't need the menu. Just tell your waiter to bring you food. They will take care of you.
MoreThis is a privately owned restaurant in the heart of Italian North Beach.Even though they had a bus load of people when we arrived for our evening dinner reservation, the service and food were spot on. The lamb chops were exceptional; we ordered wine from a wide selection of choices. They have a full bar that looks like a good place to relax and meet new people or for an after dinner port.Do check out the long nosed Pinocchio puppets that are plentiful in the bar area.
MoreBest pasta dish I have ever had and such great service!
I have to say that if you love Italian food then you need to visit pinocchios . They have the best calamari and pasta in all of San Francisco. Every thing is delicious and Giovanni and his wife are ready fun to spend timeWith.
MoreVery good service, very good food. Will come back.
This place is fabulous!!! The plates are great proportions. The service is excellent and the wine selections are great! You will be hard pressed to not find anything on the menu that isn't delicious! Everyone here are happy and super friendly!!!
MoreI had linguine Palermo and it was good.
Do you want great food or a great atmosphere? What if I told you you could have both? After walking San Francisco looking for a quality happy hour to enjoy, I built up an appetite. I saw this quaint establishment on the corner and I thought, "Hell yea!" Let me tell yall. The only thing I hate about this experience is that I went by myself. The food, wine, and dessert would've guaranteed a baby being made that night. My server was attentive and beyond polite. The fettuccine salmon was superb. I recommend this for dinner, because lunch would have tired throughout the day.
MoreFantastic food and service! So glad we went to eat here. I believe it was the owner that began to sing an Italian tune and he was amazing! A very fun atmosphere! You know it's authentic when other Italians come to eat here. Will definitely be coming back next time we're in town!
MoreGreat lunch! Sausage ravioli and lasagna were top notch.
Outside seating, the food is pricey for the quality of food, right in the heart of North Beach with views of the streets. I had the Minestrone Soup with the Mussel and clam hot appetizer, followed by the Risotto di Mare, the soup was tasty and fresh, the shelfish however lacks the freshness I was looking for.
MoreFood was superb. Can't go wrong with their homemade pasta. Fabulous experience
First rate spaghetti carbonara and great people-watching on Columbus Avenue in the heart of North Beach. Sure you'll pay tourist prices, but I've never been disappointed. Old school waiters really know their stuff.
